Action Alert: Please Ask Health and Government Operations Committee Members to SUPPORT HB699 Which Protects Citizens’ Fundamental Right to Body Autonomy by Preventing Employee Covid-19 Vaccine Mandates
TEXT OF HB699 – State and Local Government – Proof of Vaccination for Employees and Applicants for Employment – Prohibition (Vaccination by Choice Act)
why icm SUPPORTS HB699
- There is no demonstrated public health benefit derived from mandating Covid-19 vaccination in any workplace environment. Covid-19 vaccines do not protect against infection or transmission of Covid-19.
- The CDC updated its guidance in August 2022, issuing the same precautionary recommendations for unvaccinated and fully vaccinated individuals. There is no public health justification for discrimination in the workplace based on Covid-19 vaccination status.
- Covid-19 vaccine mandates in the workplace have a significant negative impact on local, state, and federal economies and violate employees' fundamental human right to autonomy over their own bodies.
